Frequently Asked Questions

  • I provide 50-minute individual therapy sessions. Telehealth allows busy adults across South Carolina to connect from any private space. All sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant platform to ensure confidentiality and security.

Therapy yields better results when we start on a weekly basis. Depending on your needs and progress, we can adjust the frequency over time. Many clients transition to biweekly, triweekly, or monthly sessions, or meet as needed, to best support their goals.

  • Fee for 50-minute individual therapy sessions is $150.

Pro bono or reduced sliding-scale spots are limited and prioritized for individuals facing financial barriers and reduced access to care. Please reach out if you believe you may qualify.

I’m currently accepting self-pay clients only while I finish credentialing with several insurance companies. Feel free to reach out if you’d like an estimated timeline.

Many clients whose plans are not accepted may still qualify for out-of-network reimbursement, depending on their specific benefits. To learn more, call the number on the back of your insurance card to ask the following:

    • Does my plan cover mental health services?

    • If my plan covers mental health services, are there are out-of-network benefits?

    • If there are out-of-network benefits for mental health services, is there a minimum that must be paid towards the deductible before services can be reimbursed?

    • What is the reimbursement rate for out-of-network services?

    • How do I submit a superbill?

Superbills may be provided via email on a monthly basis.

Most HSA and FSA accounts are accepted.

  • I am currently (or was previously) listed as a provider with Medical University of South Carolina’s EAP program, which is available to MUSC employees and students, as well as some employees of Charleston County and South Carolina Federal Credit Union.

I’m in the process of reapplying under my own business license—please feel free to reach out if you’d like to discuss the expected timeline.

  • Click here to complete the contact form. We’ll then schedule a free 15-minute consultation where you can share a bit about what’s bringing you to therapy and ask any questions you may have.

It’s a low-pressure way to see if we’re a good fit. And if I’m not the right therapist for you, I’m happy to help connect you with someone else in the community.

  • Yes! Research shows that telehealth therapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions.

It also makes it easier to fit therapy into your life without needing to account for travel time. Some clients worry that virtual sessions might feel less connected or wonder whether I’m fully present. I can assure you (thanks to my very obvious lack of a poker face) that I’m right there with you.

If you’re still unsure, I encourage you to give it a try. And if it doesn’t feel like the right fit, that’s okay!

  • I am unable to provide medication prescriptions, ADHD or autism assessments, psychological evaluations, court-mandated counseling, or letters for ESA or disability.
