Frequently Asked Questions

  • I provide 50-minute individual therapy sessions.

Telehealth allows busy adults across South Carolina and Connecticut to connect from any private space. All virtual sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant platform to ensure confidentiality and security.

Therapy is often most effective when we begin with weekly sessions to build consistency and momentum. As your needs and goals evolve, we can adjust the frequency over time, with many clients transitioning to biweekly or monthly sessions for continued support and growth.

  • Research shows that virtual therapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions, while offering more flexibility and convenience without the added travel time. Clients sometimes worry virtual therapy may feel less personal, but I can assure you (thanks to my very obvious lack of a poker face) that I’m right there with you the whole time.

While I primarily offer virtual sessions, in-person office sessions can be arranged when needed, and walk-and-talk sessions are also available.

  • Fee for 50-minute individual therapy sessions is $150.

Pro bono or reduced sliding-scale spots are limited and prioritized for individuals facing financial barriers and reduced access to care. Please reach out if you believe you may qualify.

I’m currently accepting self-pay clients only while I finish credentialing with South Carolina BCBS and Cigna. Feel free to reach out if you’d like an estimated timeline.

Many clients whose plans are not accepted may still qualify for out-of-network reimbursement, depending on their specific benefits. To learn more, call the number on the back of your insurance card to ask the following:

    • Does my plan cover mental health services?

    • If my plan covers mental health services, are there are out-of-network benefits?

    • If there are out-of-network benefits for mental health services, is there a minimum that must be paid towards the deductible before services can be reimbursed?

    • What is the reimbursement rate for out-of-network services?

    • How do I submit a superbill?

Superbills are provided via email on a monthly basis.

Most HSA and FSA accounts are accepted.

  • Click here to complete the contact form. We’ll then schedule a free 15-minute consultation where you can share a bit about what’s bringing you to therapy and ask any questions you may have.

It’s a low-pressure way to see if we’re a good fit. And if I’m not the right therapist for you, I’m happy to help connect you with someone else in the community.

  • I am unable to provide medication prescriptions, ADHD or autism assessments, psychological evaluations, court-mandated counseling, or letters for ESA or disability.
