Frequently Asked Questions

Sessions are 50 minutes long and held virtually for adults located in South Carolina and Connecticut.
All sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.

I'm currently offering virtual sessions only. Walk-and-talk therapy is also available (primarily september through may).
Not sure about virtual therapy? Research shows it's just as effective as in-person therapy for many concerns, while offering more flexibility and convenience. Choosing a primarily virtual practice also allows me to offer more scheduling flexibility and better serve my clients. And if you're worried it might feel less personal, don't be - I promise my very obvious lack of a poker face still comes through the screen.

Therapy is often most effective when we begin with weekly sessions, as it helps build momentum and establish a strong therapeutic relationship. As you make progress, we can adjust the frequency based on your needs, goals, and life circumstances.
Some clients prefer to continue meeting weekly, while others transition to biweekly or monthly sessions. To remain an active client, we must meet at least once a month.

My private-pay rate is $150 per 50-minute session.
Payment is due on the day of your session. Your payment information will be securely stored for automatic processing. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full session fee ($150).
I keep five sliding scale spots for clients at all times, and those spots are currently full.
If you'd like to be added to my sliding scale waitlist, please send me an email, and I'll be happy to reach out if a spot becomes available.
In the meantime, I recommend checking out Open Path Collective or using the "Sliding Scale" filter on Psychology Today to find other therapists offering reduced-fee services.

To find out what your plan covers, contact your insurance provider and ask:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
What is my out-of-network deductible, and has it been met?
What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed? (You may need to specify that CPT code 90834 for a 45-minute psychotherapy session will be used.)
How do I submit claims for reimbursement?
For eligible clients, superbills are automatically emailed each month for reimbursement purposes.

I am unable to provide medication prescriptions, ADHD or autism assessments, psychological evaluations, court-mandated counseling, or letters for ESA or disability.
